103 Simcoe St. South, Oshawa

A Just Transition - This project was a collaborative effort and made possible by our partners, School for Climate, Green Jobs Oshawa, and The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW).

"A Just Transition" is a rally call to industries and leadership to confront the climate emergency we are faced with. This 70ft X 40ft story of hope, is a bold vision for just, equitable and sustainable industry models, such as ones being led by Green Jobs Oshawa and CUPW. We need a vision that benefits the planet, people and communities across Canada and the world.

This mural was created by world-renowned artist, Bruno Smoky, with support from SoL's Chad Tyson,

land acknowledgement

We acknowledge that Durham Region forms part of the traditional and treaty territory of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, the Mississauga Peoples and the treaty territory of the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation.

It is on these ancestral and treaty lands that we live and commit to continuous learning of those that came before us.
